HELLBENT X MAGNAFLIGHT FILLY

  • Hellbent is a magnificent-looking dark bay horse standing at 16hh. His turn of foot is his greatest asset and his similarities to his father are uncanny.

His pedigree is interesting as he has a double cross of Green Desert which has been very successful cross. We believe he perfectly fits the criteria we look for in choosing stallions, being an explosive sprinter by a top sire and having a tough colonial dam line.

G1-winning sprinter. Winner of seven races from 1000m to 1200m from two to five, and of more than $900,000 in prizemoney, including the 2018 G1 William Reid Stakes (1200m) in near record time; second in the 2017 G1 William Reid Stakes (1200m), third in the G1 Oakleigh Plate to Russian Revolution, Listed BR Crowley Stakes (1200m), Listed GH Mumm Stakes (1000m) and Listed Kensington Stakes (1000m).

In-bred 3×3 to Green Desert, Hellbent is I Am Invincible’s fourth G1 winner and 29th Stakes winner and is out of Volksraad mare Volkaspray who is from the family of 1963 Golden Slipper winner Pago Pago.

With stakes winners in all four crops of racing age, including two G1 winners from his first crop, the future is Hellbent.

  • Magnaflight is by well performed broodmare sire, Magnus and is a half sister to VIDDORA. VIDDORA won over 2.8 million dollars in prizemoney, winning the Group 1 Moir Stakes and Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes. She was a champion sprinting mare of her generation and being my I Am Invincible makes her a half-sister in blood to this filly.

Magnaflight has had only 1 foal to race, ZOUBABY, who has won twice and placed in the Listed William Crocket Stakes.

This is a serious black-type pedigree, that has the potential to be one of the best in the stud-books.

  • The filly will be given every chance being trained in the boutique stable of Richarrd and Will Freedman at Rosehill Racecourse.

Coming from a family and part of one of the most successful training operations in the history of Australian racing (Freedman Brothers), Richard has one of the most astute and successful operations in NSW.

The Freedman name is no stranger to racing with brothers, Lee, Michael and Michael forming the Freedman Brothers and having a multitude of successes including 5 Melbourne Cup Winners.

After going their separate ways, Richard became a renowned racing and sports broadcaster. After 15 years he once again joined the training ranks in 2017. Richard was joined by his brother Michael where they saw success winning the Group 1 Golden Slipper before going on to train in their own right. Richard has now been joined by his son Will who will now train as a father-son duo.

Richard and Will's transparency and communication is first-class, where owners have

complete access to their horse at his Rosehill Stables. Overall, the duo training your horse makes for an an outstanding ownership experience.

  • This filly stood out as the most athletic horse in the complex and was undoubtedly one of the best purchases from the sale. Each time our team of bloodstock agents evaluated her, they discovered even more impressive qualities that signify a top-class racehorse.

The video of the filly showcases her as a fluid mover with a powerful stride. She possesses all the characteristics that suggest she will be able to sprint as a 2-year-old while also having the potential to develop and train effectively as a 3-year-old. Richard and Will Freedman noted her striking resemblance to her half-sister, the future star Zoubaby, and even remarked on her superior athleticism.

The team instantly fell for her at the sale and felt they had to make her theirs, given her exceptional type. She represents outstanding value as a racehorse prospect, and with her lineage tracing back to Viddora, she offers great potential as a broodmare as well.

The Freedman Training team plans to integrate her into their 2-year-old system with the goal of targeting prestigious races, including the Inglis race series and the Golden Slipper.

“We were not leaving without her.. We train the half-sister Zoubaby and she will be a stakes winner very soon. This filly may have one of the best pedigrees in the book!” - Richard Freedman
